To South Wales & Mon Ladies Bowling Association.​

The first bowling Club in South Wales was Beechwood Bowling Club, formed by Mrs Hetty Spicer in 1921.

She was a founder member of South Wales & Mon. L.B.A.  The WWBA was formed from 6 different clubs in 1927, and the first County President for South Wales & Mon. L.B.A. was

Mrs. R Pugh in 1932.  When it was formed South Wales and Mon. L.B.A. had 30 + clubs, until Glamorgan and Mid Wales formed their own separate Counties.  South Wales & Mon L.B.A. is now a governing body of 18 clubs, and County Competitions are held throughout the County which are open to all affiliated members. 

The Clubs are:  Abergavenny, Beechwood, Blackwood, Caerleon, Caldicot, Chepstow, Croesyceiliog, Crosskeys, Garndiffaith, Islwyn Ladies, Islwyn Park, Machen, Newbridge ,Penyrheol,   Panteg House, Pontypool Park, St. Julians,Ynysddu. 

As a County we compete in the WWBA County Championship for the 'The Savegar Cup'.
